Bitcoin's Uptrend is Healthy, Momentum May Continue
In the August 24 episode of the Crypto Banter podcast, it was noted that Bitcoin's rise was initially driven by a short squeeze. As shorts and highly leveraged longs were liquidated, market leverage has returned to a healthier level, with the trend shifting from a short squeeze to a healthy rebound. Historical data shows that when Bitcoin experiences a weekly surge of around 20%, it often has continued momentum afterward. Statistics from the past 15 years indicate that similar trends lead to an average increase of about 8.3% over the next 7 days, approximately 17% over two weeks, and an average rise of 36.5% over 8 weeks. Additionally, the host is optimistic about Lighter, believing that it could become a potential beneficiary if it faces regulatory hurdles when entering the U.S. market with Hyperliquid.
