Cardano Active Addresses Rise by 70% in Two Days
The number of active addresses on the Cardano network increased by approximately 70 percent on October 7 and 8 compared to the September average. This surge followed shortly after the launch of a new standard for programmable tokens on October 7. On October 7, around 27,500 active addresses were recorded, and on October 8, about 27,200, which is approximately 1.7 times the average of working days in September. These figures indicate increased activity on the blockchain but do not necessarily represent the number of unique users, as one person can have multiple addresses. The new token standard may include built-in rules and remains on Cardano, allowing existing wallets and applications to process them without users needing to switch to another system. While the timing of the activity spike and the update is interesting, there is no data showing how many transactions are directly related to the new tokens. The increase is a signal of additional network activity, but it is still too early to conclude that the use of Cardano has structurally increased.
