Cathie Wood: Monitoring AI Agent Funding Flows May Indicate Technology Trends
ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood stated that investors should pay attention to the spending behavior of AI Agents when assessing the next wave of technology trends, particularly how autonomous software allocates funds for services. As AI Agents evolve from answering questions to autonomously executing tasks, the market needs to focus on these agents' service choices, transaction completions, and funding flows. In the future, the payment activities generated by AI Agents may reflect the true adoption of technology more accurately than product launches. Wood predicts that by 2027, OpenAI, Anthropic, and NVIDIA will continue to dominate the AI infrastructure competition, with computing power supply, energy, capital investment, and model reliability being key limiting factors for industry expansion. If AI Agents have begun to autonomously select services and make payments, tracking their funding flows will become an important way to measure the commercialization of AI.
