Eric Trump: AI Stimulates Growth of Crypto
Eric Trump expects that artificial intelligence (AI) will become a major driver for the growth of crypto. He states that AI software can independently make purchases and execute payments, which will lead to increased demand for digital currencies. During TOKEN2049 in Singapore, Trump referred to AI as one of the key developments for the future of crypto. He believes that as AI systems perform tasks autonomously, they will also need a way to make payments without human intervention. Trump gave the example of an AI assistant booking a hotel and arranging the payment. He thinks that crypto fits well with these applications, as digital currencies can be received, stored, and sent without manual approval. However, Trump currently sees that investments in AI are siphoning money away from crypto, which diminishes the sector's attractiveness. He expects this to change as AI grows and increasingly makes payments independently, potentially increasing the role of crypto. Trump is a co-founder of World Liberty Financial, a crypto company linked to his family.
