Fed Chair Kevin Warsh Warns of High Inflation
Fed Chair Kevin Warsh states that inflation in the United States is still too high, with price increases in many categories exceeding 3 percent. He emphasizes that price stability remains the primary task of the American central bank. The Federal Reserve recently raised interest rates by 25 basis points. Warsh points out that the central bank aims to prevent high inflation and that stable prices are crucial. Higher interest rates make borrowing more expensive and saving more attractive, which can lead to less investment in risky assets like bitcoin. Analysts expect another rate hike of 25 basis points this year, depending on new inflation figures.
