Fiserv Launches White-Label Model for Digital Asset Platform, Roughrider Coin First Deployed on Solana
Fiserv's digital asset platform went live on October 1, with the Roughrider Coin, a USD stablecoin issued by North Dakota State Bank, becoming the first deployment project. It utilizes the Token-2022 standard on Solana and is piloted across over 90 banks and credit unions in the state. The platform operates on a white-label infrastructure model, with minting, burning, custody, and reserve management handled by OCC-chartered bank VersaBank, while Fireblocks provides the underlying infrastructure. The platform is open to approximately 10,000 financial institution clients at no additional charge, allowing access to stablecoin issuance, cross-border payments, programmable commerce, treasury automation, and tokenized deposits through the Fiserv Commercial Center.
