NBU fines two banks and 19 non-bank financial institutions for violations

In July 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine imposed sanctions on two banks and nineteen non-bank financial institutions for violations in the area of preventing the legalization of proceeds obtained through criminal activities, financing terrorism, and currency legislation. JSC "Ukrainian Capital Bank" was fined 40.55 million UAH for improper organization of financial monitoring and 2 million UAH for violating currency supervision. JSC "Raiffeisen Bank" received a fine of 16.1 million UAH for inadequate customer verification and lack of effective risk management. Among non-bank institutions, the fines were as follows: LLC "FC Grovay" - 799 thousand UAH, LLC "FC Krediplus" - 595 thousand UAH, LLC "FC Forward Finance" - 459 thousand UAH, LLC "FC Royal Finance 1" - 391 thousand UAH, and fines of 51 thousand UAH each for LLC "Finetika" and LLC "FC Mega Finance". Eleven financial institutions received written warnings for late submission of reports.
