Polygon Foundation Launches Cryptocurrency Donation Campaign for Nepal Disaster Relief Fund
The CEO of the Polygon Foundation, Sandeep Nailwal, announced the launch of a cryptocurrency donation campaign to raise funds for the Nepal Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. All donations will be used for flood relief and can be verified on-chain throughout the process. The initiative is supported by Polygon's Open Money Stack, Coinme, and Cross River Bank. OMS supports the receipt of any supported tokens on any chain, with donations collected in stablecoin and ultimately converted into local currency for the government relief fund account, which will be used to finance rescue efforts, shelters, and supply provisions. Blockchain for Impact has committed to donating $100,000.
