Blockchain.com Takes IPO Plans More Seriously
Blockchain.com intends to go public through an initial public offering (IPO) by the end of 2026, aiming to raise approximately $500 million. The company's valuation is between $4 billion and $6 billion, and negotiations with potential investors are ongoing. The company had previously submitted its confidential request for an IPO to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), allowing it to begin the review process without publicly disclosing financial details. Blockchain.com is based in London and offers services such as cryptocurrency exchange, wallet, trading, and lending. The $500 million fundraising plan and the $4 billion to $6 billion valuation have been discussed with potential investors. This plan comes at a time when the market for initial public offerings of cryptocurrency companies has been sluggish in 2026, and market weakness at the beginning of the year has delayed some companies' IPO plans. The final timing of the offering and its valuation are not yet confirmed and will depend on the ongoing review process and investment negotiations.
