Praxis Chooses Uruguay for Its Digital Community
The Praxis project, aimed at creating the world's first digital nation, has announced its decision to establish itself in Uruguay. After considering other options, such as the Mediterranean and Greenland, CEO Dryden Brown confirmed that the community will be located near Colonia del Sacramento. The project raised $525 million at the end of 2024, of which $500 million depends on the progress of the project and the issuance of tokenized land assets. The Praxis community aims to establish an autonomous political entity with AI-assisted governance. Although no binding agreement has been signed with entrepreneur Eduardo Bastitta, the first members could move into the +Colonia buildings as early as 2027.
