Sam Price: Over $1.2 Billion in Cryptocurrency Liquidations in 24 Hours

By: x.com|10/09/2026 16:30:31

According to Twitter user Sam Price, over $1.2 billion in liquidations occurred in the cryptocurrency market in the past 24 hours, primarily concentrated in long positions. Ethereum accounted for approximately $350 million, while Bitcoin was close to $300 million. The price of Bitcoin briefly fell below $81,000 before rebounding to around $82,500. This liquidation led to the clearing of a large number of leveraged positions, and if support levels remain unchanged, the market may stabilize. However, if macroeconomic factors continue to exert pressure, the market may face further downside risks.
