£10K Reward for Information on Crypto Home Invasion Attack in UK

Three men invaded a West Midlands home, forcing a couple to transfer a large sum of cryptocurrency while a fourth person provided instructions via video call. Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to 10000 pounds for information leading to an arrest and conviction, following the attack on December 13, 2025. The couple was assaulted upon returning home, with the husband sustaining significant injuries and the pregnant wife threatened with a knife. The attackers coerced them into transferring funds to a wallet they controlled and fled with the money and high-value watches in a black BMW X3. All four suspects are believed to be in their twenties, and descriptions are limited due to face coverings. Crimestoppers' regional manager stated that the attack was planned and that others may have information. Home invasions targeting crypto holders have surged, with 20 cases reported in the first half of 2026, a significant increase from the previous year. CertiK reported a total of 52 attacks, resulting in losses of 124.1 million dollars, with Europe accounting for three-quarters of the incidents.
