Ampleforth Faces Proposal Attack, Demanding Transfer of 2.5 Million USDC
On September 12, a newly activated EOA address launched a proposal attack against Ampleforth, demanding the transfer of 2.5 million USDC from the treasury to the proposer, claiming it was for funding completed work on the SPOT ecosystem analysis tool. The proposal is currently in a Pending state, with no votes cast and no funds transferred. The proposal threshold is set at 75,000 FORTH, with a passing threshold of 600,000 FORTH. Based on the alert price of $0.27, approximately $160,000 is needed to gather the required votes. The proposer holds about 87,200 FORTH voting rights, and the delegated address also holds about 87,200 FORTH, having delegated the voting rights to the proposer 19 minutes before the proposal.

Global markets on September 22 focus on a repair in AI-compute pricing. On September 21 the three major equity indexes closed higher. AMD rose nearly 10% and its market cap crossed $1 trillion for the first time, while Intel and Arm also surged. Brent crude fell about 3.4% to $100.34 and the 10-year Treasury yield eased to about 4.96%, lowering discount-rate pressure on long-duration tech. Bitcoin briefly broke above $87,000 and total crypto market cap returned above $3 trillion. Investors next watch consumer and housing earnings plus PMI flash prints.
