Clearpool Approves Transition to XRP Ledger and CPOOL Token Conversion

By:Β coin-turk.com|10/05/2026 10:27:53

Clearpool has approved the plan to transition its blockchain center to the XRP Ledger and to convert CPOOL tokens to CLEAR tokens at a 1:1 ratio. The decision, which received 97.16% support in a community vote, anticipates the project's expansion on the XRP Ledger. Clearpool aims to provide infrastructure for private loans backed by real-world assets in collaboration with Ripple. The loan manager, Cicada Partners, will oversee the borrowers, while Ripple will participate as a limited partner in the loan pools. Financing will be conducted solely with the dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD. The conversion between CPOOL and CLEAR is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, with a new CLEAR supply of 1.125 billion tokens. The previous supply of CPOOL was at 1 billion. Seventy percent of the new supply will be distributed to current token holders. Half of all fees will be used for market buybacks of CLEAR, and the acquired tokens will be burned. Technical preparations on the XRP Ledger are ongoing based on the XLS-65 and XLS-66 standards. As of October, these changes are being tested on Devnet. The price of CPOOL rose to $0.036554 before the voting was completed.
