Meme coin market cap ratio drops to record low of 0.027

By: coinness.com|10/05/2026 11:30:44

The ratio of meme coin market capitalization to altcoin market capitalization has fallen to 0.027, marking the lowest level on record. This indicates that meme coins constitute approximately 3% of the altcoin market by relative market cap. Recent trends show that altcoins have demonstrated relative strength, while meme coins have remained weak, further widening the gap between these two segments. Although this extreme divergence might suggest a potential for a meme coin rebound, it is considered a high-risk investment. Additionally, the increase in the number of altcoins and meme coins is contributing to the sector's challenges, as limited liquidity is being distributed across a larger number of tokens.
