Shibarium Resolves Restructuring Issue in Infrastructure Transition
The layer 2 network of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, Shibarium, has reached a new phase in its infrastructure transition. Developer Kaal Dhairya announced that the restructuring issue in Shibarium has been resolved. The only remaining step for the completion of the process is the transition on the DRPC side. Shibarium had initiated the transition to the new official RPC infrastructure by shutting down the old public RPC endpoints by the end of 2025. One of the critical technical aspects of this transition has been successfully addressed. However, details regarding the scope of the restructuring and transition have not yet been shared. Mazrael reported that an equal rotation for Shibarium node operators was conducted on September 15, 2026. A new Bor static node list and Heimdall persistent peer information have been published. It was stated that the change represents a complete rotation and that the validity of the old cluster has expired. Shibarium's RPC registration has been updated in the Ethereum lists chains registry, and the updated connection information has been made available on Chainlist. Shibariumscan data indicates that the chain's re-indexing process is ongoing; currently, 53% of the blocks have been indexed. Additionally, on September 12, 2026, the shib.io and ShibaSwap pages were migrated to the Cloudflare infrastructure, and IPv6 support was added to both structures.
