Metaplanet Revises Capital Allocation Policy, Plans to Allocate 90% of Assets to BTC

By: contents.xj-storage.jp|10/05/2026 10:18:00

Metaplanet announced a revision to its capital allocation policy, with Bitcoin accounting for approximately 85% to 90% of total assets. A new strategic investment allocation will account for 10% to 15% of total assets, covering mergers and acquisitions of financial platforms, income-generating assets, and investments in asset management businesses. This strategic investment will provide non-dilutive financing to common shareholders through methods such as BitBonds, loans, Bitcoin collateralized credit financing, and perpetual preferred stock, managed separately by ALM and not subject to the constraint of Bitcoin-related borrowings being below approximately 10% of BTC NAV. Credit financing loans used for acquiring and holding Bitcoin will be controlled to remain below approximately 10% of BTC NAV, with permanent equity capital as the primary source of acquisition funding. The company has launched a net interest income strategy, investing in assets that yield returns exceeding the cost of capital to generate net interest margin income. Previously, Metaplanet announced a net purchase of 1,000 BTC in the third quarter, bringing its total holdings to 44,000 BTC.
