Saylor Claims Expansion of BTC Credit Market Through Competition Between Strategy and Strive
Michael Saylor, chairman of Strategy, stated that Strategy and Strive can expand the Bitcoin-based credit market together as they compete for investor funds. Although the two companies offer different equity and credit products, they share Bitcoin as a financial foundation, which could improve product recognition, liquidity, and funding conditions as market participants increase. Saylor mentioned, "BTC is digital capital, STRC and SATA are digital credit," asserting that the growth opportunities for Bitcoin-based financial products lie in attracting funds that would otherwise be invested in traditional stocks and bonds. He added that the global stock market size was $157.8 trillion and the global bond market reached $160.7 trillion at the end of last year. Recently, Strategy invested $142.7 million to acquire an additional 1,665 BTC, increasing its Bitcoin holdings to 847,666 BTC. Saylor noted that as more companies issue Bitcoin-based credit products, it will become easier for investors to understand and evaluate related products. Strive raised approximately $86 million through SATA preferred shares, increasing its Bitcoin holdings to 27,462 BTC. Saylor emphasized that the rise in Bitcoin prices, the spread of digital credit products, and the market's growing awareness of digital stocks could mutually influence each other.
